It all starts on Monday 29 September with Kayak Cross Time Trials where medals will be awarded for the first time along with the Opening Ceremony. CANOE SLALOM

Canoe Slalom is contested in both canoe (C) and kayak (K), with athletes navigating upstream and downstream gates on a whitewater course, with penalties for touching or missing a gate.

KAYAK CROSS

Kayak Cross is Canoe Slalom’s newest discipline. Racing in plastic creek boats, four athletes slide off a ramp more than two metres in the air, racing head-to-head to the finish.
